12 Number Ratol is the late variety of most-loved mango Anwar Ratol in Pakistan. It is a fairly young species and originates from Ratol. Looks quite similar to the original Anwar Ratol and its taste is fairly similar but not quite, well why don’t you taste it for yourself.

King of Mangoes
The golden-yellow Chaunsa originated in Multan and is a worldwide favorite due to its exceptional sweetness and uniquely pleasant aroma, soft flesh with only the minimum of fiber, and is considered the king of mangoes not just because of its juicy pulp and sweet taste but also because of its high nutritional value.
It is said that Chaunsa was made popular by Sher Shah Suri, while celebrating his victory over Humayun at Chausa, he named his favorite mango Chaunsa.

Sweet Flavour And Strong Aroma
Anwar Ratol is the most loved mango in Pakistan. It is a fairly young species and originates from Ratol, a village in Uttar Pradesh, India where the first Ratol tree is just over 100 years old. A mango grafter migrated from Ratol to Pakistan, transplanted a sprig there, and named it Anwar, after his father. Anwar ratol is considered top of the line in terms of shape, weight, size, and taste. Its deceptively sweet flavor and strong aroma make it stand out from rest.

The generous-sized Sindhri mango is sweet but less sugary than the Chaunsa or Anwar Ratol. Sindhri comes early in the season from Sindh province of Pakistan and then stocks from Punjab start coming in June and the season lasts till the end of July. Known and loved for sumptuous pulp and no irritating fiber, Pakistanis primarily use Sindhri to quell their milkshake cravings.
If Chaunsa is crowned the King of Mangoes, the delicious yellow Sindhri mango is undoubtedly the Queen of Mangoes. The hotter the season, the sweeter the Pakistani mangoes are. Sindhri mangoes are often referred to as the Honey mangoes of Pakistan.

World-famous Species of Mangoes
Dasheri is another one of the world-famous species of mangoes and takes its name from its place of origin, Dasheri, Lucknow. Dasheri mangoes boast a sweet taste and pleasant smell. The size of these mangoes is noticeably larger than that of chaunsa, they are fiberless, have firm flesh, and are full of pulp – an ideal choice for shakes and ice-creams.
It is said that the mother plant of this species which is more than 200 years old still bears fruit in Dasheri Village, UP, India.

Langra mango Pakistan is one of the most experienced varieties of Mango from South Punjab. Its name in Urdu means “lame” in English. Langra mango signifies a carefree lifestyle, thus the phrase “Life-with-Langra and Life-without-Langra”.
Available from May to July, Langra mango is greenish and its size varies from medium to large. Its fat oval shape is iconic, fiber-less flesh, dark yellow, and has a sweet aroma. Westerners usually like this fruit because it is less sweet and suits their taste palette.
